Description

California Interventional Cardiology locums centered on a new STEMI and PCI program and a 7 on, 7 off or 14 on, 14 off block model, designed to fit cleanly around your home schedule.

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, rounding, consults, clinic, and procedures
• Team support includes other physicians onsite during the day plus MAs, NP, and dedicated office and hospital staff
• No EP, CTS or High Risk cases

Schedule

• Full time, ongoing need with two primary block physicians plus PRN coverage for conflict weeks
• Shift runs 7a to 7a during your coverage days
• Monday structured as a procedure focused day
• Tuesday through Thursday primarily clinic days, procedures as needed
• 24 hour call while on service, weekday call is interventional only, weekend call includes interventional and general

Cases and Procedures

• Standard interventional coverage including STEMI and PCI
• TEE and cardioversions
• Pacemakers
• Weekend general coverage includes reading echo, nucs, and stress tests

Technology and Workflow

• Charting in Cerner with an upcoming Epic transition this summer
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 45 days

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Active California license required, will not wait for license
