Loyola Medicine/Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine seeks a visionary leader with a proven record in clinical practice, research, and education to serve as Chief of Cardiology (regional) for its distinguished, three-hospital integrated system in Chicago, Illinois.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of cardiology at Loyola Medicine as the organization expands a high-quality, patient-centered, and integrated network of care, with continued investment in strengthening operations, culture, and programmatic development, supported by a highly capable leadership team.
The Chief of Cardiology oversees the continued development of a complex cardiology service line spanning three high-volume hospitals and will play a pivotal role in advancing the divisions growth, clinical expansion and academic mission. The chief will partner closely with an experienced operational dyad to shape strategy, set direction, manage performance and executive cardiology domain priorities. Additionally, the Chief will serve as a co-leader of the broader Cardiovascular Service Line, which includes cardiology, vascular, and cardiothoracic services.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be an accomplished cardiology physician with experience in an academic medical center or integrated health system, recognized for a collaborative leadership approach, a commitment to education and scholarship, and a demonstrated record of clinical excellence. Ideal candidates will have experience overseeing multi-site cardiology programs, working closely with administrative and operational partners to enhance quality, expand access, improve performance, and drive growth across diverse geographic markets. Candidates must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree; be board certified in cardiology or a related subspecialty; eligible for medical licensure in Illinois; and qualify for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank.

This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including:
- Competitive starting compensation between $159,000 - $985,945
- Salary Based on Academic Rank and Experience
