Description
Erlanger Health System, in partnership with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga, is seeking General Cardiologists and Interventional Cardiologists to join a growing, hospital-employed cardiovascular program in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
These positions are driven by continued program expansion and increasing patient demand across a large multi-state referral network serving Tennessee, North Georgia, and Western North Carolina.
Physicians will join an established team of approximately 22 cardiologists and 20+ advanced practice providers within a collaborative, academically affiliated environment. The program supports a full spectrum of cardiovascular care with strong infrastructure, dedicated support, and access to advanced technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborate within a team-based model supported by APPs and cardiology fellows
- Perform non-invasive diagnostics and consultative cardiology services (General Cardiology)
- Perform coronary interventions, including PCI and STEMI care (Interventional Cardiology)
- Participate in shared call rotation (approximately 1:8), with fellows taking first call
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across cardiology subspecialties
- Optional involvement in teaching and academic initiatives through UT affiliation

Requirements
Job Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease required
- Completion of an Interventional Cardiology fellowship required for interventional candidates
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Tennessee
- Demonstrated clinical competency in general cardiology and/or interventional cardiology procedures
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, team-based environment
- Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and program development (preferred, not required)
