The Department of Internal Medicine Division of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of South Florida is seeking applications for Advanced Imaging Fellowship for the following academic year:
July 2027-June 2028
This fellowship is a 12month training program that includes comprehensive clinical exposure, structured didactic teaching, and opportunities for scholarly activity. Training is provided under the guidance of expert faculty in the performance and interpretation of Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, and echocardiography.
The curriculum is designed to support cardiovascular disease trainees in achieving Level II/III competency in cardiovascular MRI, Cardiac CT, and potentially echocardiography, consistent with the American College of Cardiology COCATS guidelines.
Overview and Description of our Fellowship:
The curriculum allows the Advanced Cardiac Imaging fellow to develop a thorough understanding of the indications, techniques, and practical application of Cardiac CT, CMR, and echocardiography. The program is tailored to the longterm career interests of each trainee and emphasizes competency through diverse, highvolume clinical exposure, along with opportunities for research, education, and leadership development. Graduates of our program have pursued successful careers in academics, leadership roles, and imaging program development. Our fellowship has been established for over 10 years.
Applicants must have successfully completed a 3year ACGMEaccredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and be board certified or board eligible. Acceptance into the program is determined by the Fellowship Program Director and faculty based on individual qualifications, including curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation from the applicant’s current or most recent training program. We are currently accepting applications and interviewing candidates for a July 2027 start date. At this time, we are unable to accommodate visa requests for this fellowship.
