Norton Heart & Vascular Institute, a part of Norton Healthcare, is the Louisville area’s leading cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment program. Each year, Norton Heart & Vascular Institute provides diagnostic, medical, interventional and surgical care for thousands of patients from Kentucky and Southern Indiana. A team of specialists treats patients at Norton Healthcare’s four adult acute-care hospitals in Louisville and numerous diagnostic outpatient and specialty centers throughout Greater Louisville. All four of the hospitals are accredited by the American College of Cardiology’s Accreditation Services as Chest Pain Centers. The Norton Heart & Vascular Institute Heart Rhythm Center provides state-of-the-art monitoring and a comprehensive suite of treatment options for all types of heart arrhythmias. Our experienced team of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons provides surgical capabilities that include ventricular assist device implantation, minimally invasive treatments for atrial fibrillation, cardiac valve repair and replacement, and repair of life-threatening vascular conditions. About the Cardiac Critical Care Position
- Develop and expand Norton Heart & Vascular Institute’s cardiac critical care program
- Oversee cardiology services in a 12-bed, dedicated cardiovascular intensive care unit (ICU) located at Norton Audubon Hospital, a four-time award-winning American College of Cardiology HeartCARE Center of Excellence
- Provider will work specifically in the ICU for cardiac patients but will be responsible for performing some related bedside procedures and reading
diagnostic tests in the hospital - Support the continued growth of the Norton Heart & Vascular Institute Structural Heart Program, including the addition of new procedures
- Support continued growth and development of established Norton Healthcare extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) services
- Join a multidisciplinary team to include cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery
- Opportunity to partner with the Norton Heart & Vascular Institute Advanced Heart Failure & Recovery Program, which includes four
physicians and five advanced practice providers
