Description
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is accepting applications for a full-time, non-invasive cardiologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Clinical Attending/Clinical Educator pathways. UAMS is the state’s only academic center with a rapidly growing Cardiovascular program. The Cardiology Division consists of 15 staff Cardiologists, 18 fellows (12 general, 3 Interventional, 2 Electrophysiology fellows, 1 structural imaging fellow) and 9 advanced practice providers who provide state of the art cardiac services including structural cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, and advanced heart failure.

3. Clinical responsibilities include ambulatory clinics (both in Little Rock and surrounding areas); inpatient Cardiology ward and consultative services and cardiac imaging (echocardiography and for those interested, nuclear Cardiology, cardiac CT and MRI)
4. Participate in education of medical students, residents, and Cardiology fellows
5. Clinical research opportunities are available for those interested
6. Call frequency – 1:7 weekends with fellow support

Practice highlights:
Busy inpatient primary Cardiology ward team and consult services
Robust outpatient clinics both in Little Rock and surrounding areas
Busy echocardiography laboratory with expertise in all forms of advanced echocardiography including 3D echo, strain and structural echocardiography
Collaborative practice with Radiology in Nuclear Cardiology, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI
Dedicated closed CVICU and a growing structural, ECMO and cardiac surgery program

Requirements
Minimum requirements:
1. Completion of an ACGME accredited Cardiology fellowship
2. Board certified or board eligible in Cardiology
3. COCATS level 2 training (or above) in all aspects of echocardiography.
