Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist/recently graduated Cardiologist fellow to join our esteemed cardiac care team at Heart and Vascular Center of West TN. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular diseases through advanced interventional procedures, contributing to improved patient outcomes and the overall health of our community.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of interventional procedures including angioplasty, stenting, and other catheter-based interventions to treat coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including thorough history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care protocols, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence.
• Engage in patient education and counseling, providing clear explanations of procedures and post-operative care to ensure informed patient decisions.
• Participate in research initiatives and clinical trials to advance the field of interventional cardiology and contribute to innovative treatment approaches.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in cardiology and interventional techniques through continuous education and training.
• Participate in General cardiology call rotation, usually 1 in 4-6 weekends. 
• Opportunity to perform diagnostic cath and TEE, if interested.

Requirements

Required:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school with completion of an ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship.
• Board certification in cardiology.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telemedicine platforms.

Preferred:

• Experience in complex coronary interventions and peripheral vascular interventions.
• Involvement in clinical research or academic cardiology.
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to mentorship and training of junior physicians.
