Join Atrium Health Navicent as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Macon, Georgia, part of Advocate Health, one of the largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country.
Atrium Health Navicent Heart & Vascular Center in Macon, Georgia, a division of the Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute based in Charlotte, NC, offers a comprehensive and well-established cardiothoracic program. The Heart & Vascular Center includes multiple cardiac catheterization laboratories, dedicated state of the art operating rooms, an electrophysiology lab, CVICU, and a cardiac rehabilitation center. These services are supported by a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team of anesthesiologists, perfusionists, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, and experienced support staff.
The cardiothoracic surgery team provides a broad range of services, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), thoracic aortic surgery, mitral valve repair, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement, Impella support, and ECMO. Navicent is a certified destination LVAD center and maintains an active TAVR program, established in 2017. The program encompasses all aspects of thoracic surgery excluding transplant.
Junior surgeons and new graduates will be supported through a structured onboarding and training experience in Charlotte, NC.
- Full-time opportunity, 1.0 FTE
- 1:4 call shared by well-established partners with the support of surgically trained APPs

- Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature

Requirements:
Valve experience or interest preferred
BE/BC American Board of Thoracic Surgery
Active Georgia License or ability to obtain licensure
