Medical Group of the Carolinas – Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly successful, well-established practice and exceptional multidisciplinary heart team. This is a premier opportunity to join a program recognized for clinical excellence, innovation, and growth. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in open heart and thoracic surgery and thrive in a collaborative, high-volume environment.
Practice Highlights
- Robust APP support with 1 NP in clinic and 24/7 CVRU coverage
- 5 PAs assisting in the OR
- 1:4 call rotation; one weekend per month
- NP/PAs take first call for ED, floor and clinic
- Clinic one day per week; 20+ patients per day
Program Excellence
SRHS is one of the busiest heart centers in South Carolina. The program performs 400+ cardiac and 300+ thoracic surgeries annually.
Facilities & Advanced Services
- 3 CV ORs plus 1 Hybrid OR
- Structural Heart Program including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, PFO closure, and Convergent procedures
- CVRU and dedicated step-down units
- Over 1,000 cardiac cases performed in 2025
