Cardiology APP Opportunity in Martinsburg, West Virginia
$130K-$165K | No Call | Flexible Inpatient & Outpatient Mix
This cardiology APP opportunity with West Virginia University offers a flexible, well-supported role in Eastern West Virginia. Designed for both experienced providers and new graduates, this position combines inpatient rounding, outpatient follow-ups, and diagnostic testing within a collaborative cardiology team. With no call requirements, manageable patient volumes, and the ability to work independently with physician support, this role provides both clinical autonomy and work-life balance.
Practice Overview
- Provide a mix of inpatient cardiology rounding, outpatient follow-ups, and stress testing
- Average inpatient census of 15 patients, rounding independently with physician sign-off
- Perform and support cardiac stress testing across two locations
- Outpatient clinic focused on established patients only (no new consults)
- Open to Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and experienced RNs with cardiology backgrounds
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM schedule
- Flexibility to leave early when patient care is complete
- Daily inpatient rounding responsibilities
- Mix of half-day or full-day stress testing (approximately 8 patients per day)
- Outpatient visits scheduled in 30-minute follow-up blocks
- No call responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary starting at $130,000 with up to $165,000 for experienced cardiology APPs

Candidate Profile
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (new graduates welcome)
- Open to RNs with strong cardiology experience transitioning into an advanced role
- Comfortable with inpatient rounding and outpatient cardiology follow-ups
- Ability to work independently with physician oversight
